Our History

We’ve been in business since 1960. We started as a part time dealer after collecting for several years while living in California. We issued our first mimeographed price list at that time. We have always specialized in National Currency. We became well known for our interest in California Nationals which culminated in a collection of 950 different California nationals which we eventually auctioned off at Long Beach in September of 2004. The catalog has become a reference for California collectors. We eventually expanded to cover all types of U.S. and foreign currency, fiscal documents, and paper money related books. Along the way (1972) we moved to Indiana and have been there since. Lowell is a charter member of the Professional Currency Dealers Association and its Past President. We are members of most all paper Money Organizations and Numismatic Associations locally and internationally. We set up at all Paper money shows and have not missed a Memphis or PCDA show since their start. We setup and attend many other local and national shows and some foreign.
We typically stock in excess of 4000 National Currency notes. Although we don’t put out a price list, at any one time we have well in excess of 200,000 foreign notes. We are proud of our conservatism in grading and have had less than ten notes returned for disagreement in grading in the 45+ years we have been in business. Even so we accept returns within ten days for any reason.
We still have an interest in California and collect books and other memorabilia from there. Lowell has always been active in local not-for profit organizations and has been proud to have been named a “Distinguished Hoosier” by the Governor of Indiana and also a “Kentucky Colonel” by the governor of Kentucky.
